At ten years old, Lesley Hall began drawing cartoon characters and making bracelets and necklaces, which she sold or traded at the YMCA day camp in Alaska to the counselors and campers from atop a large rock in the woods. It was also at day camp that Lesley became hooked on the impact of color on a white background while making TieDye t-shirts, often rescuing the campers who did not want to get messy by twisting the shirts for them. Shortly after this, she started painting abstract, vibrant images with a focus on using colors that did not traditionally work well together, colors that should have otherwise been enemies. At age 16 while living in Maryland she became enthralled by the landscapes of GC Myers. It was from his paintings that she drew her greatest inspiration and was able to adapt and develop her signature styles. Her landscapes turned into morphed fantasy lands where she got to pick and choose what colors the sky should be, or how trees should look and move. Currently, Lesley hosts 'Art Nights' at her home in Virginia for various friends to come over and express themselves though paint, charcoal, beads, or photography without any restrictions or rules. She is constantly moving, either beading, painting, sketching, traveling and taking pictures along the way. The last couple of years she has been selling her jewelry and art in the DC area at different Craft Shows and painting faux finishes or murals in peoples homes or businesses
